Seeking an individual who is creative, people friendly, has some Judaic knowledge, and
can work in a busy office.
Description: The Religious school Assistant provides office support to the Director of Education,
including the Hebrew and religious school students and parents, the teaching staff and the
Madrichim (teachers’ aides). The Religious school Assistant is a part-time position and reports
to the Director of Education.
Creating flyers using various software programs such as Power point, Publisher, Paint etc.
Interacting with students, staff and parents
Handling collection of money from parents/congregants
Filing and updating records
Wednesdays: 2-3 hours flexible
Thursdays: 2:00 -7:00 p.m.
Sundays: 8:00-1:00 p.m.
About 10-15 hours a week w/ the possibility of extra hours during busy times.
Good computer skills
Flexible schedule when needed
Proficiency in Microsoft, Excel and Word programs
Ability to work with people of all ages
Salary rate: $12-$14 per hour depending on experience Avodah - Jewish Service Corps
